Terms of Use

Last updated August 2026

ParentLINK is provided to your school under a service agreement; these terms govern your use of the portal and the family app as a person the school has given an account to.

Your account

  • Accounts are issued by the school. The temporary password you receive works once; the password you set is yours alone, and nobody — school or ParentLINK — can read it back.
  • You are responsible for what is done with your signed-in account. Sign out on shared machines; tell the school at once if you believe your account is compromised.
  • The school may reset, disable, or remove an account it issued. Disabling ends live sessions immediately.

What the system is for

Running a school: enrollment, attendance, grades, billing, official records, and communication between the school and its families. Use it for that. In particular:

  • Records are the school’s official records. Do not enter data you know to be false; corrections are audited, not silent.
  • Messages between staff and families are retained for safeguarding and are never private from the school. Do not use them for matters that are not the school’s.
  • Do not attempt to access another family’s or another school’s data, probe the system’s security, or use automation to scrape it. Access is logged.

The school’s role

The school is the controller of its records and decides who holds which role, what is published to families, and what its fees and policies are. ParentLINK operates the software; it does not decide grades, balances, or enrollment, and cannot change them for you. Disputes about a record’s content are between you and the school.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and to announce maintenance to schools in advance, but no software is available always. Official records survive outages: they are the school’s, exportable in standard forms (including the DepEd school forms), and a school that leaves takes its data with it.

Intellectual property

The software, its design, and its documentation belong to ParentLINK. School records belong to the school; your family’s data is governed by the Privacy Notice and RA 10173.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law. Beyond that, ParentLINK’s liability under these terms is limited as set out in the school’s service agreement, and ParentLINK is not liable for decisions the school makes using the system.

Law and forum

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. These pages are a notice to users; the binding agreement for a school is its signed service agreement, which prevails if the two differ.
